Head of FP&A who will report to the CFO to support future success and growth within our IT sector client.
This company is creating the best technology solutions with their customers' specific needs in mind to ensure safety and efficiency.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the Corporate Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting process in relation to sales and gross margins for the business.
- Responsible for cashflow, WiP, sales reporting for the group and business units and the analysis of variances to latest forecasts and budgets including understanding of business won lost and delayed as part of that process.
- Responsible for monitoring and understanding gross margins across the business and driving appropriate actions in Development, Procurement and Commercial teams to improve those below target areas.
- Working with the Procurement team to manage the purchase to pay process with the purchase ledger team to ensure the process is both efficient and maximizing the balance between purchase price and payment terms.
- Ensuring all areas of margin impact outside the normal sales and are understood in line with expectation and considered in all tenders.
- Leading the commercial input and analysis on all bids ensuring all costs and approaches considered, accurate bid models produced and supporting bids which are significantly impacted by the level of resource and cost of the operations team to deliver them.
- Ensuring pricing data in the ERP system reflects latest cost base and expected margins.
- Ensure key business process improvement projects are on time, cost and delivering the benefits expected once introduced.
- Demonstrate leadership of principles, tools and techniques along with a drive to introduce digital solutions.
- Introduce an suite of KPIs, to influence sensible commercial offerings and leading the discussions with the CFO & Directors on best approach for each tender and ongoing customer relationships.
- Line management of direct reports; to provide support and personal development.
- Delivering step change improvements in forecasting accuracy and delivery to timescales.
Your attributes:
- Qualification ideally the ACA qualification.
- Positive, Pro–active and self–sufficient attitude.
- Relating and networking.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Highly IT literate with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity working with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership and strategic thinking.
