Position : Head of Project Management, Head of Planning and Project Controls, Head of Planning and Project Controls, Head of Projects
Location : South Yorkshire based
Place of work : Office based, potential for some hybrid, flexi time
Salary : GBP60,000–GBP100,000 according to experience. Excellent benefits package in addition

Projects are complex, often in safety critical environments, and will include elements of civil engineering, structural and supporting steel, mechanical and electrical engineering, process plant, hydraulics, pneumatics, controls systems etc.
Projects range from around GBP250,000 to GBP5 million plus, and can range from 3 months to 2 years
You will form a key part of the leadership team of a specialist and highly respected contractor based in the South Yorkshire region.
About You :
You will need broad project management with experience of delivering projects and P&L, with experience of scheduling and estimating and controls.
- Proven experience in a multi–discipline project environment in Project Management, Cost Control, Planning, Scheduling or similar
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project or a similar high level planning software
- Experience with PowerBI is beneficial
- Able to provide an efficient day–to–day service to the Board as well as Programme and Project Managers in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment, and programme performance.
- Able to effectively analyse project schedule and cost performance
- Knowledge and experience applying earned value management EVM
- Able to effectively analyse project schedule and cost performance
- Able to create and then maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements
- Risk management and reporting including the use of ARM techniques
- Project reporting and review
- Strong people management skills, able to manage teams of planners and cost engineers
- Degree Qualified in a relevant engineering subject
