Business Development Manager required for my client who are base within the electronic test equipment market.

The client is based in Letchworth Garden City, however the successful candidate can be located around the country, as long as they are happy to commute to areas where offices and suppliers are based.

The successful business development manager will be expected to oversee the test and power sales activity within the company, while, establishing new clients and maintaining current client relationships.

They will have the territory of Northern England, Scotland and Ireland. The role will be UK based, with expectation of travel to the company's offices, customers and suppliers, around the UK.

This particular company are looking for a strategic BDM to work across a range of electronic solutions, including both products and calibration of electronic test equipment.

Business Development Manager Position Overview

  • Provide a technical sale lead on a variety of products at the company, whilst developing new business ventures for the business as well.
  • Holds a project management responsibility for all business type opportunities.
  • Strategic selling and business development.
  • Commercial problem solving / thinking.
  • Own a portfolio of key accounts
  • Implement and execute sales campaigns and activity in target market areas / sectors.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets through the creation and maintenance of key account plans for agreed strategic accounts within territory.

Business Development Manager Position Requirements

  • Experience working in new business or commercial role within the Test & Measurement Market.
  • Have a technical understanding of test and measurement products and their applications.
  • Proven sales experience and territory management.
  • Technically competent across the relevant T&M market and products with wider experience of the trends within this market sector.
  • Must have experience working in B2B sales role ideally within a multi–channel / distribution environment.
  • Ideally degree educated (or with relevant commercial experience) with proven written and presentation skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Business Development Manager Position Remuneration

  • 40,000 to 45,000 + car allowance and bonus scheme.
  • Full time position – 37.5 hours per week.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Company Pension Scheme – ER – 4% and EE – 5%.
  • Fitness Benefit and Self–choice volunteering days.
