Site Accountant

Site Accountant for a prominent and well-backed manufacturing company in Warrington.

Hays Senior Finance have been appointed on an exclusive basis by PE backed multi-national who are looking for a Site Accountant at their Warrington site. The business has seen substantial investment and has an ambitious five year plan. The Warrington site is modern and has capacity for significant growth.

As Site Accountant you will be focused on the performance, output and profitability of the Warrington site with a functional reporting line into the central finance team which is also UK based.

Job duties will include -

• Production of accurate manufacturing performance figures
• Analysis of cost centres, overhead application and departmental spend
• Production of weekly factory costings
• Weekly stock analysis review and stock reconciliations
• Posting stock issues from inventory to jobs
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required to help maximise the financial performance of the business
• Develop and maintain standard costs
• Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of manufacturing variances along with supporting analysis
• Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers
• Participate in profitability analysis in regards to quoting and costing
• Work with Manufacturing to conduct physical inventory audits for the quarter-end and year-end physical inventory
• Prepare variance analysis report for inventory, manufacturing cost and standard cost variances
• Record, monitors, reports and communicates function/business results

This role is suitable for recently qualified management accountants with a strong manufacturing understanding who want to progress or for more experienced accountants who are used to similar roles. There will be as much or as little support as required from the functional line manager. The UK central finance function is based locally so there is clear progression for those that want it.
