Millbank has an opportunity for a Business Manager / Associate Director to lead our established Rail & Construction Division based at our Runcorn Head Office. (Hybrid working is available).

With extensive recruitment experience in the Rail and/or Construction Industry, you will have the ability to network with candidates using your excellent communication skills and together with us, develop our current clients along with adding to the portfolio at any opportunity.

You ll work on a wide range of roles within Professional & Technical Engineering Rail and Construction disciplines, engaging with white collar candidates for permanent roles throughout the UK with no geographical restrictions.

Here at Millbank we have had an established Rail business since 1995 which was dedicated to Possession & Isolation Management & Delivery functions within the Rail environment but latterly was reborn in 2014 to focus on delivery of Professional & Technical, White Collar Recruitment Solutions. Since then the business has had significant success growing year on year with a peak turnover in 2019 of GBPc8m.

It s this area of Rail and general construction projects we are focusing specific investment and growth moving forward.

The business is currently RISQS accredited and can provide PTS sponsorship.

The opportunity:
As the Business Manager / Associate Director for Rail & Construction, you will work with the Senior Leadership team to develop this business unit further. Based in our Head office in Runcorn (Hybrid working is available).

Your main objective will be to look after our existing business relationships with the clients, delivering exceptional service whilst prospecting for further opportunities in line with our capabilities.

Once established, you can then recruit further consultants to ensure full delivery to all key clients.

You ll have the opportunity to use your initiative and excellent relationship building skills, opening up business with new and existing clients with strategies such as gap analysis and benchmarking, on–site visits, negotiation skills and sales calls.

You ll take ownership of any issues and assist colleagues in driving referrals to Millbank.

About you:
To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • Ideally demonstrable expertise managing key accounts and developing new business.
  • A true leader, leading by example and willing & committed to developing those around them.

To succeed, you ll need to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Develop and manage relationships with clients, understanding their long and short–term objectives.
  • Up to date understanding of the Rail Industry key requirements.
  • Source high calibre candidates through adverts and social media.
  • Knowledgeable of current employment and inland revenue legislation.
