Health Economics Director / Leader

Health Economics and Outcomes Director – Global Location: UK – Onsite 2 days per week in London Full time permanent role Must have the right to work in UK The Role: I am partnered with a global pharmaceutical company on a brand–new role within their senior leadership team. As part of their growth phase this opportunity will give you the chance to build out and lead a team of people within Health Economics and Outcomes Research across Europe. They are seeking a senior individual with significant experience leading teams of people in HEOR and Market Access that wants to be an influential part of a European Senior Leadership Team having direct involvement in the launch of innovative therapies across Europe. Responsibilities: Be accountable for supporting global strategies and delivering assets within the key compounds. Be responsible for leading and implementing key Health Economic activities to support the entire business and portfolio at an EU level. This will include liaison with Market Access, HEOR, PCOA and RWE teams and requires an understanding of each process and late phase clinical trials. You will support new products, launches and negotiations by being involved in the HTA submission process and supporting in country adaptations. Work closely with other functions internally to ensure and create a global HEOR and RWE strategy that supports the portfolio and development of the organisation. Support launch processes across different regions, local, regional, and local ensuring all global activities reflect what is needed at an in–country level. Be involved in evidence generation tactics and strategies to enable pricing and reimbursement of new products. Ensure integration of strategy and health outcomes studies/data to support internal decision–making during product development, commercialization, and life cycle management. Role Requirements: Higher Education in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or another related discipline. Minimum 8 years' experience leading HEOR and Market Access activities on an EU or Global level. Minimum 2 years delivering HEOR activities within an in industry pharmaceutical role (previous 6 years can be within a consultancy) Extensive technical background and knowledge of Economic modelling, observational studies, statistics, and meta–analysis Experience leading a team of people (hiring, training, allocation of resources etc.) Experience leading a product through to the launch process dealing with all evidence generation activities involved. Experience in Vaccines or Specialist Medicines Understanding and hands on experience of healthcare and governmental affairs Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Other languages preferred By clicking "apply" you will be sending your CV to Georgia Wright at Barrington James.
