Head Of Development

We are seeking a Head of Project Development, this is a remote working role for EV Infrasturucture projects.

As the Head of Project Development, you will be joining a team of 3, and be part of the growth it will see in the future. Responsible for the technical and commercial development of the business unit on projects across the UK & EU.

Responsibilities of the Head of Project Development:

• Take responsibility for the Commercial and Financial the Development Team GM, accountable for project success maximising efficiency, optimising, and driving development excellence
• Work closely with the Business Unit Contract Manager to ensure any business unit project deliverables are fully understood and then developed to client requirement, on time and where possible funded
• Take responsibility for setting forecast for the Development team, based on secured and anticipated projects for the delivery business unit
• Take responsibility for implementing the Development team development plan, ensuring seamless implementation to support business growth
• Take responsibility for ensuring bid no bid governance element of the governance framework within the development team
• Contribute to the internal matrix support framework, ensuring that supporting aspects within the project cycle are in place and fit for BAU across the Project Development unit
• Working collaboratively with the Delivery Director UK &EU responsible for the delivery of risk and opportunity register and take ownership of the development team associated actions
• Take responsibility for the development and implementation of the business unit Sub Contractor Framework to meet business growth
• Play an active supporting role for internal development, software, and O&M business units
• Staying up to date with industry best practices to educate clients and internal teams on the advantages of various design and implementation options to meet
• Complete CDM compliance auditing as and when required onsite

Criteria for the Head of Project Development:

• 5+ years in a Lead Development role, ideally gained within utilities, electrical services DNO or construction
• Project Management/Technical related qualification
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, able to minimise risk through developing and endorsing safe operating processes
• Demonstrate the ability to balance priorities among competing needs whilst providing the highest level of value to the company
• Must possess a valid driver s license and passport
• Commercially aware with a strong proven background in infrastructure project development and associated contracts
