We are currently working with an exciting business based in the Wigan area who are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller within the business due to increased growth and revenue. The business is led by an ambitious MD, so you will need to be proactive in your approach yet also manage expectations of the leadership team in a supportive and equally driven mindset.

The company is well established in its field and has refined its offering to the marketplace as well as diversified its revenue channels and is still evolving as we speak. What you see is what you get within the team and therefore we need an open and technically strong yet commercially focused individual, who can add value across the business and support their continued growth.

Specific duties include:
  • Daily, weekly and monthly sales, stock and vendor reporting.
  • Develop tighter controls around stock movements across multiple sites.
  • Preparation of the Management reporting pack with full commentary, including the management information pack.
  • Develop meaningful KPI reporting around customer trends, margin, and stock.
  • P&L variance analysis and investigations.
  • Maintaining and improving Financial Controls within the business.
  • Management of the fixed asset register and associated values.
  • Work closely with the MD in future business plans and feasibility
  • Provide guidance and support to the small finance team
  • Manage the reporting of a small portfolio of associated companies within the Group
In addition, the ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills that enable them to present their financial information clearly. They should be commercially minded and understand how businesses operate across all internal areas of the organisation, developing accountability and controls.
