Description
- Supporting the implementation of the contract with 3rd party logistics provider for managing the material collections, sorting, and counting, and recycling requirements aligned to the regulations.
- Managing the relationship with the logistics partner and ensuring operational deliverables are adhered to.
- Working with logistics partner to ensure the operational infrastructure including bulking and counting centres and associated planning permissions and licences, counting equipment, collections vehicles etc are in place.
- Reviewing capex approvals in line with budgets.
- Leading the invitation to tender process with suppliers for a variety of categories.
- Developing contractual KPIs to which the logistics partner will be measured against.
- Working with internal stakeholders on key milestones.
- Completing regular online webinars.
Profile
- Previous experience working in a logistics operations management role within either FMCG, drinks manufacturing, waste management or recycling sectors.
- Experience in all relevant legislation and compliance rules in logistics and waste management.
- Strong management experience, knowledge of logistics network design and implementation.
- Negotiation of complex contracts for operations partnerships.
- Excellent written communication skills able to confidently communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and gain influence.
