A leading Guardian Property company is looking for facilities expert to join their operations team in a full–time role. You will be responsible for leading all operational activity and must be confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders. HEAD OF OPERATIONS

We are looking for someone to join our operations team in a full–time role. You will be responsible for leading all operational activity and must be confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders. You will be responsible for a growing operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The role requires the highest standards of service to customers, both internal and external, as well as operating as a member of the senior management team.

Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilised to maintain an environment of continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in developing the future delivery of FM services and transition by assuming leadership of the service and guiding it into its ultimate configuration.

Have significant experience of setting up, running and managing high profile FM contracts within large organisations.

Build on the team's strengths and lead them to the next level, through their knowledge and experience of best practice and innovation.

You will be responsible for facilities, health and safety and operations in properties under our care.

Day–to–day management of the department you are responsible for, ensuring they are performing and delivering against targets in line with relevant legislation, guidance and best practise.

Ensure commercial performance is at the forefront when reviewing opportunities and risks on site.

Organise, negotiate and manage all centralised contracts and suppliers for services and utilities across all sites through a combination of in–house and external contractors.

Ability to maximise revenue streams and profit margins
Oversee and influence effective financial control across all operational budget stream.

Work with the finance team, manage annual budgets relating to all premises revenue and capital costs and review and approve all premise related invoices.

Take ownership of the incident management plan.

Take ownership of standard and emergency operating procedures.

Take ownership of the crisis communications plan.

Take ownership of the business recovery plan.

Oversee the management of maintenance tickets and ensuring these are completed to a high standard and within deadline.

Overseeing the fit out of a new property and ensuring that the property Is compliant.

Overseeing the key management system and ensuring that this aligned with the BSI.

Overseeing the quality of monthly Inspections.

Monitoring contract performance.

Achieving KPIs associated to the operations department and hit company wide KPIs where possible.

Knowledge of certificates (Gas Safe, NIC, FRA, 240V).

On–going training and development of team members in the department.

Ensuring all critical problems that may arise are tackled In line with the company's culture.

To ensure officer and supervisor behaviour is in line with the brand and culture.

Sign off annual leave and monitor sickness levels.

Developing speed and accuracy when undertaking all tasks.

Provide reports to Senior Management as requested.

Delivering brand and culture training to the team.

Working alongside other Heads of and Supervisors in the company.

Working hours may vary depending on business needs

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience of leading operations management in a large and complex organisation
Successful leadership and management skills.

Excellent data analysis skills and report writing to present accurate, clear and concise reports to inform monitoring and decision making.

Hands–on experience with budgeting, risk management and cash flow management.

Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.

Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an operations role or similar role.

Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision–making.

Have a minimum of 3 years' team management experience.

Have excellent time, planning and project management skills.

Highly organised individual and have attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Exceptional communication skills at all levels.

Leading teams from different departments to achieve organisational goals.

Must have a UK driving licence

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

A degree in operations management or business administration is a plus
Knowledge of operational principles and policies.

Property background experience.

Staying ahead of the game and ensuring that plans for the future are clearly labelled out for everyone to follow.

Adapting to the ever–changing environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges.

The ability to work alone and take a lead when hurdles arise or when tasks require completion.

Proficient in use of MS Office packages including expert use of Excel.

Solid analytical and decision–making skills with superior attention to detail and organisation skills.

Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

Ensuring that communication is ongoing and effective between different departments.
