Project Director

Excellent opportunity for a Project Director or Senior Project Manager with a main contractor to initially deliver a 50 Million city centre project.

The Company

A well respected main contractor with strong financials who have a proven track record of delivering multi–million pound projects across the UK is seeking a Project Director. Going forward their order book is full for 2023 with a very healthy outlook for 2024 and beyond.

This Project Director opportunity is for their midlands regional business who cover the midlands region. Their core sectors of work include high rise residential, education, student accommodation and mixed use projects typically valued at 20 Million to 50 Million.

The role

The principle role of the Project Director will be to deliver a 50 Million D&B project as the lead on site and will include:

• Involvement at pre–construction stage
• Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Programming sequence of works to ensure timely delivery
• Chairing meetings
• Accurate record keeping, use of company IT systems and dissemination of information
• Managing the site team and in turn sub–contractors and trades
• Client liaison
• Overseeing the Design Manager to deal with any design changes and issues throughout the project
• Working closely with Commercial Manager to manage commercial and financial aspects of the project
• Working with and managing relationships with external suppliers, consultancies, local authorities, etc.

Required experience and qualifications

• Successful track record of delivering 20 Million plus Design & Build projects as Senior Project Manager or Project Director
• Successful track of record of delivering projects from start to finish as Project Director or Senior Project Manager
• Ideally qualified to HNC or degree level in a construction related discipline
