At Northern Trains, we're creating a brand–new future. Not just for our organisation, but one that will transform the way we all think about rail travel across the UK.

As the biggest train operating company outside of London and now under public ownership, we operate a very large and complex property portfolio consisting of 468 managed stations and premises at other locations including central offices in York, Leeds and Manchester, we're working hard to introduce the latest technology, state–of–the–art trains, and extra capacity. Putting customers at the heart of our business, we are delivering a true Northern experience while increasing social mobility and bringing the Northern Powerhouse to life.

We connect millions of people to work, leisure, education and more every week. But we also invest in our own people too, and we're committed to building a workplace that's as diverse and inclusive as the communities we serve.

And you'll play your part in making it happen

You'll work in partnership with regional teams and key industry stakeholders to set the guidelines that are used to create a tailored implementation plan that delivers the benefits and optimises opportunities for economies of scale and scope for the facilities management and building projects. Ensuring that requirements of Northern's safety management system are integrated, 3 rd party funded initiatives are analaysed and appraised through effective consultation and negotiation.

What are we looking for?

Rail experience isn't essential for this role, you may have a background in retail, hospitality, aviation, heavy industry, leisure and tourism or transport sectors, what matters is that you have experience of multi–site complexity and managing a sizable team of in–house professionals and 3 rd party suppliers and alliances.
