My client based in Nottingham has an excellent opportunity for a number of Interim Supply chain delivery buyers, these roles are looking to pay GBP300 per day through an umbrella company and will be for 8–12 weeks work. This is to back fill for the BAU workers in the wider team who will be working on special project. The role will require you to have 2 days in the office per week and 3 days working from home.

As Supply Chain Delivery Buyer you will report directly to the Supply Chain Delivery Team Leader and be a key member within the department.You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels and product availability and will take ownership for UK and international suppliers. You will ensure all external purchases are made at the agreed costs and lead times, ensuring product quality is maintained. You will work alongside your colleagues to resolve any supplier non–conformance of delivery or product, supporting the identification and implementation of supply chain improvements and efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities• Accountable for the ordering and delivery of all externally manufactured purchases for designated suppliers and product categories.• Manage and maintain PO placement in–line with projected forecasts for selected suppliers.• Review and manage demand in conjunction with the Planning team.• Manage the operational relationship with suppliers and develop incident resolution for all supply chain delivery and product quality issues.• Manage shortages and stock outs with minimal affect to supply by expediting.• Manage you own key performance indicators including order placement and fulfilment, invoice query resolution, weighted service level and stock availability.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience• 3 years of Purchasing experience within a fast moving environment.• Knowledge and experience of procurement and operational processes with an understanding of planning and forecasting techniques.• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work closely with suppliers and internal colleagues.• Previous use of Excel and Office as well as ERP systems.• Good administrative experience.• Experience of successfully managing multiple supplier accounts.• Experience of working with suppliers both in the UK and globally.• Capable of managing conflicting priorities and able to organise workload as required.• An understanding of overseas purchasing and shipping including air, sea and road freight.• A completer finisher who is self–motivated, has excellent interpersonal skills and is accomplished at presenting to all levels.
