We're truly excited to be recruiting a Head of Reward for this successful, and highly reputable organisation.

As part of the HR Leadership team, the Head of Reward will oversee the compensation and benefits for approximately 3,000 colleagues. This role will report to, and work very closely with, the HR Director.

As Head of Reward you will help to review the current Reward strategy and further professionalise the offering to colleagues, ensuring high quality service to colleagues and expertise is delivered. This encompasses managing total colleague spend, ensuring its allocated effectively and is aligned to the business strategy.

The Head of Reward will have the experience of working in a UK PLC with proven abilities in compensation, benefits and strategic reward. The ability to drive change and deliver against multiple project timescales is key; success will be achieved through the ability to influence those more senior on reward matters.

The role has strategic and operational responsibility for managing all the reward, share plans, pensions and benefits provision encompassing key processes, frameworks, suppliers, communications and technologies.

The Head of Reward will need to further develop, enhance and improve benefit offering in line with the commercial needs of the business and to provide an attractive recruitment proposition. This includes improving the benefit take–up whilst ensuring the commercial viability of the reward packages offered. They will be seen as the technical expert on matters relating to Executive reward, and will be required to update the Board periodically.

Managing the Reward team and working with colleagues across HR, they will effectively manage all the cyclical reward processes including; annual pay review, bonus payments, bonus invitation and flexible benefits windows. Including leading relationships with external parties and suppliers in reward and benefit (including life insurance, pensions, private medical insurance, share plan administrator and flexible benefit suppliers).

The successful candidate will be UK based and able to travel regularly to key offices across the UK.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise in Reward operating at a high level in a rapidly changing business environment, and be comfortable with managing the full reward cycle including Executive reward matters. It is important that you are able to immediately contribute to the Reward strategy and challenge on issues in a constructive fashion. You will also need to be decisive and a problem solver, and be comfortable in debates with those more senior; a rounded view and experience in both benefits and compensation is a must. A proven track record of influencing, persuasion and directional skills at all levels of the business but particularity with those more senior is absolutely essential.

The salary for this role will be up to GBP75,000 depending upon experience along with a suite of excellent benefits.
