Description
- Reviewing budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
- Establish and formalise a financial governance structure for all group IT projects
- Providing project managers and key stakeholders with timely financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts.
- Working closely with project management to prepare and review business plans
- Providing accounting advice to non-finance surrounding capitalisation policies
- Preparation of monthly reporting packs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting into the CAPEX committee and similar senior stakeholder forums.
- Analyse internal and external spend to ensure both compliance with accounting policies as well as reviewing return on investments
- Working collaboratively with project sponsors providing supporting analysis on a timely basis
- Assist with other ad hoc projects as required
- Working proactively with the wider Finance team in providing process and data improvements; and
- Providing coaching to other members of the team.
Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA) is desirable
- Strong excel and modelling skills, preferably advance level
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting
- Experience of working in a project role desirable
- Experience of working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial business desirable
- Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the Finance Team and the wider business teams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritise to achieve strict deadlines and targets
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver high quality presentations and documents
