Project Manager (Residential)

My Client is looking for a strong, Project manager to lead a large residential project in the Bristol Area

Role overview:

The primary responsibility holder for the production, control and delivery of an allocated project to the highest standards of Health and Safety, on time, and within budget. Through excellent leadership, motivation and teamwork, the highest standards are to be strived for and attained. Quality of product and pride in presentation are to be upheld at all times. Adhere to and engage with QA/ISO system and other company procedures.

Role Scope:

Larger sized project, all Site Management report directly into Project Manager, as do surveyors, technical and buying indirectly

Key Internal/External Relationships:

Internal: Site Managers, Surveyors, Technical and Buying staff, Regional Director/Manager, (including sales managers where applicable)

External: Clients, sub–contractors, residents, statutory authorities, architects, Employers Agents

Success Measures:

Shows outstanding drive in the quest for improvements in the company's overall performance and standing with clients and consultants

Communicates health and safety policy clearly, evidence that there is positive health and safety compliance, competence, and culture on site.

Provision of scheme specific contracts and target programme

Sufficient labour levels are always in place ensuring delivery of a quality end product that meet target dates

Ensure the site management team complete and issue weekly and short–term programme

Accurate reports against programme are produced as required.

The site teams are forward planning in a timely fashion to ensure key elements such as material requisition, plant requisition & stats booking are delivered to programme dates

Effective management and delivery of Contract Quality Plan

The relevant controls are in place to allow the construction and development in accordance with the drawings, schedules ,ERs and specification provided to be followed

The construction meets the requirements of the relevant statutory bodies and also complies with current legislation

All relevant quality checks are undertaken and appropriate records maintained

All corrective actions are closed out in a timely manner in line with procedures and records of remedial actions maintained.

The completion of a thorough tender preliminaries budget, and the preliminary budget is effectively managed throughout the project

Effective CVC review of scheme with the relevant Commercial Manager and team

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

Degree Qualified / NVQ7

Chartered Membership of a relevant Professional body

Appointed Person

CDM for Principal Designers

Programme Management experience including contract management of sub–contractors and external partners

Experience in delivering scheme minimum 20million in value

Experience in concrete frame structures with brickwork and clad fa ades

Previous people management experience in a Construction setting

Demonstrate expert understanding of H&S law and regulations

Proficient in ASTA Power Projects
