Project Manager
Peterborough – Initial 6 Month Contract – likely to extend for the right person!
Our client is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and support of a world class range of engines, they are looking to extend their Project Management team in Peterborough.
As part of the Service & Customer Support group, responsible for delivering strategic initiatives and developing new processes. The group work cross functionally to develop new IT systems that improve work efficiencies and remove wasted effort.
In this specific role you will be developing process maps and leading IT development of a new issue tracking process within Salesforce. Working with wide cross functional teams you will coordinate the development of process maps that can be used by the IT team for system development.
What will you do:
- Leading regular project team meetings with core project team.
- Developing process maps for core as is processes.
- Developing to be process maps covering process and efficiency improvements.
- Developing user stories that can be used for IT development.
- Working closely with the IT project manager to develop a detailed timing plan.
What you will need:
- Strong project management background – ideally educated to degree level; however, consideration will be given to other qualifications or significant job–related experience in lieu of this.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office 365 (Visio – Desirable).
- Proficient in the use of Salesforce – Desirable.
- Good analytical and problem–solving skills.
- Excellent planning & time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to different leadership groups.
- Ability to simplify complex issues.
- Ability to coach and train others.
- Ability to perform complex assignments involving multifunctional disciplines.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Customer facing experience.
