I am working with an exciting, ethically focused Fintech startup who are scaling rapidly. They are now in need of a Finance Director to join the team and take responsibility of the day to day finance function, whilst also getting involved in investor relations and the supporting the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain operating budgets, local accounting and manage the cash flow of the company, ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls;
Design, implement and oversee a comprehensive financial strategy to support business growth goals, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations;
Prepare and file financial statements, VAT returns and company income tax returns, where necessary;
Prepare and file regulatory reporting as required by the FCA;
Own and deliver all finance–related MI and product monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting of financial results and forecasts to the Board and senior management;
Maintain and manage all banking relationships.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar regulated institution (ideally a rapidly expanding FinTech) and experience within an EMI are a must;
Fully qualified account in any of the following relevant certifications – CFA/CPA/ACA/ ACCA;
Hands–on experience with budgeting and risk management with a depth of knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models;
Experienced in managing early and late fundraising rounds;
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the business;
High–level of integrity, initiative, perseverance and leadership skills;
