Principal Sourcing Business Partner

AWE is currently recruiting for a Principal Sourcing Business Partner (SBP) who will actively contribute towards securing short and long–term successful business and acting as single point of contact for all Supply Chain and Sourcing requirements for their assigned business area.

As the Principal Sourcing Business Partner, you will have line management responsibilities, whilst also remaining hands on and managing your own business area.

You will have excellent communication skills, acting as the face of supply chain management into your business area. Representing stakeholders in procurement, pushing category strategies and sourcing strategies.

As your understanding of the business function expands, you will build procurement pipelines, extract demand from stakeholders and prioritise procurements. Work closely with budget holders to set financial budgets for supply chain expenditure for the following year.

Package: from GBP70,000 to GBP85,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Location: Reading / Basingstoke area

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive stakeholder engagement, build relationship with Stakeholders.

• Understand and communication of the business strategies, plans and forecasts etc.

• Contribute to reparation of Stakeholders budgets, propositions and documentation.

• Participate and contribute to applicable risk and analysis and mitigation with regards to the Supply Chain.

• Sourcing solution strategies for Stakeholders.

• Drive implementation of Business Ideas, Category Strategies and Preferred Supplier Lists.

• Cost reduction and efficiency plan defined for SCM elements of assigned Business areas.

• Develop a Stakeholder related Sourcing strategy covering relevant categories involved.

• Sell and promote the value of SCM to the stakeholder community.

• As the manager of the Sourcing Business Partners team, the Principal Sourcing Business Partner is responsible for managing the team, developing its competence, drive its performance and drive the collaboration with key stakeholders.

We would love to hear from individuals with the following:

• Working experience within a buying / procurement role in a similar organisation or industry (Oil & Gas, Telecoms, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Manufacturing).

• Previous category management and strategic sourcing experience.

• Application of supplier management strategies to maximise benefits and minimise risk.

• Working with multiple stakeholders and delivering multiple objectives, on time in full.

• Dealing tactfully and constructively with challenging people and situations.

• Motivating and developing people/teams.

• Sell and promote the value of Supply Chain to the stakeholder community
