About the opportunity:

We are looking for an Associate Director with a track record in environmental leadership roles for major energy sector projects to join our team leading some of the largest, most complex and exciting projects in the UK. Our team of EIA Specialists have excellent relationships and active frameworks and projects in the energy sector. To support our energy clients' aspirations for growth, we are currently looking for individuals with relevant experience and capability in energy sector Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), such as for renewable energy generation or electricity transmission/distribution.

Your Impact:

You will have a pivotal role in major project delivery, working closely with our clients and helping to lead our environmental assessment and consents workstreams. Your project experience will enable you to bring together a diverse team of environmental specialists, working as part of project teams to assess potential effects, embedding environment and sustainability in the design and delivery of our projects.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in delivering EIAs and preparing Environmental Statements (ES).
  • Knowledge and experience of the UK energy sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of consenting regimes, such as the Planning Act/Development Consent Orders (DCO), Transport & Works Act, and Town & Country Planning Act.
  • Strong leadership, project management and governance experience, with demonstrable commitment to health, safety and security and inclusivity, the integration of project legacy into decision making, and champion of innovative thinking to improve project and legacy outcomes
  • A demonstrable commitment to health, safety and security and inclusivity
  • Chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA). Where a candidate does not meet this requirement, they would be expected to achieve this within their first year.
