About the Opportunity
Jacobs has secured multiple multi–year contracts and projects with leading clients in the UK, Ireland and across the globe. The water team is looking to appoint skilled people to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in the water Industry and beyond. We are seeking Project Managers who are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways.
Successful candidates will join a team of over 400 professionals, working on a range of high–profile projects and become a part of a World Leading Company with excellent career prospects. You will be delivering project tasks, designs and working with clients on water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi–disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.
As a Project Manager you will undertake a key role in delivering our client requirements. As an individual we would look to you to show experience in leadership, delivery performance, excellent communication skills combined with being a team player. The knowledge, skills and experience we value are varied as we continue to develop diverse teams.
You will agree and control budgets for projects, escalation points, key milestones and targets including time, cost, quality and safety to ensure that goals are achieved in line with programme plans.You will have demonstrated project management experience gained across a range of projects in a multi–disciplinary environment. As a proactive leader, you have experience of managing teams to facilitate high levels of performance in a complicated environment. You take ownership of your team's performance and encourage others to excel.

With a sound understanding of project management principles and application, you will have:
- A good understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation
- High quality degree relevant to the environment, water, or construction sectors
- Working towards or Chartered or Incorporated through a relevant Professional Institution
- Proven ability of working under a range of contract forms, in particular NEC3/4
- Demonstrable knowledge of undertaking earned value analysis on projects
- Demonstrable knowledge of writing project quality and delivery plans
