Morson Talent are delighted to be working with our client in the Nuclear sector who require an experienced Business Development Project Manager to join their Sales & Projects team in Cheshire or Slough. The purpose of the role will be to evaluate potential business opportunities and provide expertise in bringing projects to fruition as well as monitoring and driving associated process and activities. Candidates should have a background within a regulated sector delivering key projects and working with Senior Stakeholder internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and delivery of the analytical assessment of business opportunities, including market analysis, research, analyse and package financial and non–financial information to help the company make well informed decisions.
  • Lead and oversee the internal processes associated with bringing new business opportunities to fruition including support with prioritisation, resource allocation plans and monitoring overall portfolio.
  • Engage and develop the general market and competitor dynamics and business development activities and prepare reports accordingly.
  • Work closely with Site Managing Directors and Lead Teams in the preparation of information concerning new business opportunities
  • Deliver to the Group Business Development Director the production of proposals concerning new business opportunities for presentation as well as other ad hoc support such as M&A activities.
  • Act as a source of expertise available to support and drive projects forward.
  • Own, build/develop, and manage the Business Development Process–including ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Support Group Business Development Director with the development of junior members of the team and build network of positive/effective relationships across the business and within the industry

Experience:

  • Performance reporting and tracking metrics (essential)
  • Expertise in due diligence/M&A processes and delivery (desirable)
  • Working in a Management consultancy role (desirable)
  • Competency in strategic and analytical thinking; theory and practice (essential)
  • Interpersonal and cross–cultural team–working and collaboration skills (essential)
  • Experience in the appraisal of technological inventions and innovations (desirable)
  • Operational and financial analysis (essential)
  • Expertise in conceptual and scenario modelling, research methodologies and data analysis (essential)
  • Presentation and communication skills (essential)
  • Knowledge Management/collaborative/reporting systems (desirable)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle processes (desirable)
