We are working with a long established organisation who work with Public Sector clients.
They are looking for a Business Analyst to work with one of their client on an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend. They require an immediate start if possible.
For this role we are looking for a Business Analyst with experience working with HR & Payroll – this is essential. Prior experience working within Local Authority would also be ideal and advantageous
You will be based remotely for a majority of the time but may need to work from the office in South West London on the odd occasion in Bromley.
Purpose
To enable the effective delivery of technical and business process change for new and existing systems. Analysis of the systems to achieve optimisation and cost savings. Achieved through analysis of business processes and systems to identify issues, inefficiencies and areas of process and service improvement and make recommendations thereon.
Key Responsibilities
For existing and prospective systems and processes, identify and engage with all appropriate stakeholders to analyse and document application and process components. These components will include but not be limited to:
- application
- software
- infrastructure
- integration points
- data
- information
- security
- risk
- operational.
Through analysis identify the underlying business issues to be addressed and make recommendations thereon.
Key Tasks
- Organise, specify and model business requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous, map to the business need being addressed taking appropriate cognisance of all relevant statutory, regulatory and quality standards.
- Apply modelling, requirements gathering and process mapping techniques to support business change and new business initiatives.
- Analyse processes documented to evaluate and identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. These may comprise both "quick wins" and longer term prospects for enhancement. Presenting these proposals in recognised formats to both technical and managerial stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
- Maintain all required documentation including process maps and specifications to support the business change and development programme.
- Ensure appropriate communication is maintained to understand the business needs and align with business priorities.
- Consider and evaluate the opportunities and potential risks attached to the recommendations made, suggesting appropriate mitigation options.
- Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations.
Education / Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level or similar.
- Capita Academy – Revenues and benefits management software.
- Experience of Data Modelling, Business Intelligence.
- Experience of supporting the design of end to end solutions
- Knowledge of appropriate statutory and regulatory requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
