As the Senior Manager – Business Intelligence & Projects, you will be an integral part of the Group Controlling team, reporting into the Head of Financial Performance & Projects.

You will define, monitor and report operational & strategic performance / trading indicators for the Group / segments towards key internal & external stakeholders (e.g. CFO, GEC, Investors). You will also shape the business intelligence data governance & strategy for Group FP&A. Furthermore, you will initiate, coordinate and execute automation projects, ensuring efficient interfaces & processes.

In this important role, you will work with & manage an international team and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Group.

ABOUT THE JOB

Business Intelligence

  • Define, monitor and report relevant operational performance indicators for the Group & the commercial segments (M&A, HEX) to track the performance against targets. Ensure that the management information remains relevant by analyzing the development of the KPIs against the actual business performance.
  • Drive setup & reporting of TUI Group's strategic KPIs that underpin the development of the 3–year plan (shared on a monthly basis to the GEC).
  • Bridge the main trading KPIs with financial statements (e.g. Linkage between margin reporting and P&Ls).
  • Share & present the management information & insights on a regular basis with key internal stakeholders, such as the GEC (e.g. Owner of Daillies, Weekly dashboards, Trading – OFR GEC reporting products).
  • Act as a business partner to the investor relations team for management information on backward & forward looking trading data, delivering key insights and commentaries for quarterly and annual announcements.
  • Shape the business intelligence data governance & strategy, taking the lead on application & development of key Group tools (e.g. Tagetik / Tableau)
  • Represent the Group by articulating a clear vision / voice towards the different group segments ensuring transparent, timely and accurate data delivery & reporting to all internal and external stakeholders.

Projects & Group Interfaces

  • Drive automation projects and ensure efficient interfaces & processes whilst keeping an eye on costs. This will require strong stakeholder management, particularly with commercial / finance sector & IT teams.
  • Participate in scenario–based work, in collaboration with other Group finance teams.
  • Support the Group / segments with ad–hoc questions & specific analyses.

Team Management

  • Manage and oversee the work of team members, provide guidance to meet objectives and empower / further develop team members.
  • Balance business / resource requirements with a disciplined cost approach.

ABOUT YOU

  • University degree, with a focus on Finance and Accounting and/or Information Management
  • 4 years+ relevant experience
  • Have affinity with data & Business Intelligence systems
  • Have experience with creating insightful visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau (or equivalent)
  • Possess strong problem–solving skills
  • Be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Ability to work cross–functional with major stakeholders across the Group / Segments
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Detail–oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • High professional skills in translating results into leading edge visuals
  • Open–minded and proactive personality who wants to make change happen
