Hi I am recruiting for a Senior Commercial Solicitor for an in house client based in Liverpool.
Client Details
Our client is a global food and drink group involved in the manufacture, import and distribution of branded and customer own-branded products. Their customers include major supermarkets,convenience stores,foodservice operators, wholesale suppliers and other food manufactuurers. Our client was established over 140 years ago and their headquarters are in Liverpool.
Description
Some of the key repsonsibilities for the In House Senior Commercial Solicitor Role include
Communicating and working with all parts of the Company both within the UK and internationally, and engaging directly with other stakeholders including suppliers, customers, insurers and external legal counsel.
Negotiating, reviewing, drafting and advising on Commercial Contracts and terms and conditions. Negotiations will take place with a variety of parties including suppliers, customers, licensors, marketing agencies and regulators in accordance with rules in the Management Control documents and adhering to agreed timescales.
Managing and dealing with Litigation (awareness of Litigation) and Regulatory law.
Provision of training in accordance with the agreed Compliance Programme.
Advising on a variety of legal issues across the Group including supply issues or contractual disputes to achieve commercial resolutions.
Ensuring that the Group Legal Counsel is fully appraised as to matters being dealt with.
To provide Legal support to Senior Management on project based/strategic work.
Profile
Commercial solicitor who work in private practice or in house should apply for this role. If you do not have Litigation experience still apply as it is not essential just the willingness and desire to learn new areas of legal work.
Strong commercial experience and ability to provide innovative solutions to complex legal and commercial issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
