Interim Maintenance Manager

We are currently supporting an industry leading manufacturing business who are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Manager on a contract/interim basis. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is key to managing all maintenance related activities across a busy and expanding plant as well as ensuring all production operational objectives are met through effective man management and strategic planning. Day Rate: – (NEG DOE) – Outside IR35Hours: – Day Shift (40hrs) Monday – FridayLocation: – Leighton Buzzard Job DescriptionThe main responsibility for this role is to lead the overall maintenance strategy for the entire manufacturing site, managing a multi–disciplined production team to ensure all maintenance activities are managed and completed effectively to key performance indicators. Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all manufacturing maintenance activities across the siteDevelop and maintain an efficient Planned Maintenance SystemEnsure appropriate resources and time are available for the application of maintenance strategiesEnsure weekly maintenance review and planning meeting are routinely occurring and effectiveMonitor plant operational efficiency and reliability identifying areas of underperformance and implement plans to deliver improvementsBudget management for spares across siteRoutinely monitor of KPI's to improve overall performanceAudit CMMS (Computerised Maint. Management System) ensuring breakdowns/repairs are logged Experience & Skills RequiredDegree or HNC/D in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline5+ years of Maintenance management/supervisory experienceHand on management approachManagement experience in a fast paced production / manufacturing environment.Understanding and working application of a CMMS systemKnowledge and application of UK regulatory standards Our Client is looking to hire this role immediately.
