My client is an established M&E contractor based in Birmingham, due to continued successful growth they are expanding and are looking to recruit an ambitious Mechanical Project Manager.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position within the commercial and retail sectors on projects with values up to GBP2m

Responsibilities

• Management of project from procurement to final commissioning and handover stage Work alongside the commercial teams
• Management of sub–contractors
• Cost scheduling
• Engineering programming
• Design and compliance
• Assuming full responsibility for all M&E works
• Competent management of large teams
• Working to time and budget constraints
• The overseeing of sub–contractors, their working standards and compliance
• Production of costings, billings and progress reports
• Health and Safety compliance
• Commercial awareness

Individual Skills

• A confident ambitious individual with excellent communication skills You will be representing the company at various meetings through the time frame of various projects.
• A self–motivated individual, you must be able to effectively manage your team whilst maintaining the highest of standards of the work produced.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Mechanical or HNC qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• SMSTS
