Talent Development Business Partner – Bristol / Hybrid – Circa: GBP70,000 + Excellent financial/non–financial benefits

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been reengaged by a long standing client, a very rapidly expanding professional services business with an exceptional reputation in the Southwest. This is a modern, technologically advanced business that strives to attract and employ the very best fee earners in the region. With an exceptional staff retention rate and a consistently increasing headcount, the firm has invested heavily to develop an enviable people management function. They now seek to recruit a Talent Development Business Partner for a newly created full time and permanent role within the company. The role can be based in either Bristol or Exeter and offers the flexibility of ongoing hybrid working.

Reporting to and working closely alongside the Director of Talent Development, this will be a broad ranging and interesting position that will focus on developing the firms staff training and development strategy. Core focus of the role to include:

– From the ground up, design, implement and develop a companywide technical training program

– Work with external technical training providers to develop long term business relationships and identify suitable development programs

– Develop career maps for each business function and business area

– Work closely with line managers to develop personal development plans

– Support major change management projects

– Promote a high performance culture based on identifying and developing talent to enable and drive the business to deliver their objectives, working with employees and empowering managers with the tools to build a more robust process and framework.

– Establish strategy aligned to attracting and retaining the best employees, embedding performance development and a learning culture, based on values and behaviours throughout the business

For this role we seek an experienced talent development specialist with a proven track record in delivering training and development programs, ideally with recent exposure gained in a professional services environment (accountancy practice, legal etc.). The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD qualified with long term vocational experience in leading and managing organisational development teams, with exposure to a range of L&D and OD issues. The role works closely with the firms' fee earners, partners and directors and as such requires superb communication skills (written and verbal), and excellent general IT skills. We're looking for a confident and professional individual looking to build on their talent management, talent development and L&D experience, comfortable working in a hands–on role in a growing and dynamic environment, and working with ambitious and educated employees.
