Director of Finance

Director of Finance – GBP75,000 – GBP85,000 per annum (Salary varies depending on experience)

Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00

Department – Finance

Location – Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office (Littlemore, Oxford)

What You'll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Director of Finance to lead the Finance team working directly to the CEO, and who will act as the financial conscience for the organisation. Some of the core duties include:

• Ensure there is a high standard of financial control in place at all times
• Responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of all financial activities including financial & management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytical insight.
• Lead, motivate and develop the finance function into a pro–active partnering team.
• Assist with the development of the long term strategy for the organisation, utilising your expert knowledge, and lead on the financial elements of new business opportunities.
• Lead on the implementation of the new Finance System – Xledger.
• Develop and support the delivery of the organisation's annual plan and the related budgets and projections.

The Successful Applicant:

Essential criteria:

• Professional qualification in accountancy (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
• Commercial understanding and experience of tendering exercises
• Significant senior leadership experience with the ability to lead and manage the performance of a team to fulfil organisational aims and objectives

Desired criteria:

• Understanding of social care in the context of supported housing
• Understanding of Adult and Children Mental Health commissioning
