A Treasury Finance Manager opportunity now exist within our Treasury Finance team reporting to the Treasury Finance Lead Manager.

As a Treasury Finance Manager, you will act as a subject matter expert responsible for securitisation accounting relating to the special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and the Group. The role involves significant technical knowledge, practical systems ability and communication skills. This is a great opportunity to develop in–depth knowledge and understanding of technical accounting and products. While core systems provide the ability to investigate data and variances, collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders is also required. Continuous improvement of processes, enhancements to the control environment and maximising the efficiency of our systems is key.

In a nutshell this role is about:
  • Overseeing the financial accounting and control of Securitisation and Covered Bond Programmes, from source system and deal bookings through to external financial reporting
  • Overseeing the production of SPV financial statements and Group statutory reporting relating to securitisation, including leading relationships with auditors
  • Providing technical accounting advice on securitisation and covered bond structures and / or restructures, including acting as an SME for related regulatory reporting
  • Providing leadership over a professional team of accountants. Being responsible for nurturing, coaching and monitoring team members, providing pro–active and motivational input into the performance review process.
  • Taking ownership of TMS, Subledger and General Ledger accounting rules and mappings as related to securitisation
  • Acting as the key point of contact for Treasury, Treasury Operations and wider Finance in relation to securitisation related matters
  • Maintaining awareness of IFRS exposure drafts and guidance notes as related to Treasury funding products and transactions, coordinating policy development and implementation
  • Ensuring documented processes and controls are in place to deliver accurate financial metrics as well as designing and implementing initiatives to improve the financial governance as measured through number of audit findings (internal and external)
  • Sharing knowledge and information proactively with key senior contacts and assisting them in identifying and addressing issues and future requirements
  • Providing insight and support to other Finance and Treasury stakeholders through the development of targeted and high–quality analytics and MI
There are a few essentials you need to bring
  • ICAS or equivalent qualified
  • Experience in accounting for Securitisation and Covered Bond programmes
  • Experience in explaining complex and technical accounting matters in straightforward terms to a range of stakeholders
  • Thorough IFRS accounting knowledge, specifically in IAS 32, IAS 39, IFRS 7, IFRS 9 and IFRS 13
  • Experience in financial systems change and report development processes
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and controls and audit trail requirements
We'd love you to have
  • Experience in a wider range of Treasury products such as MTN, AT1 and Sub Debt
  • A general understanding of micro hedge accounting
