Operations Director &; Executive position

We are proud to be working exclusively with Barking Riverside, one of the most exciting, and complex placemaking projects in Europe. This is a transformation of a former large industrial site on the River Thames with over 2 km of river frontage, the development will comprise over 10,000 homes together with a railway station, Thames Clipper pier, schools, shops and high quality open spaces. In order to successfully manage the delivery of all infrastructure components to support the creation of this transformational development and to ensure the delivery and disposal of land parcels, we are looking for a highly experienced infrastructure professional who will relish the scale of this challenge. You will manage a highly effective internal team of infrastructure professionals and Quantity Surveyors. Sitting on the project board, you will take full responsibility for the operations functions including: All core infrastructure, delivery of public realm, historic buildings, transport links, and river infrastructure. Successful management and delivery of all operational and infrastructure obligations across the whole site. Lead and manage the construction, commercial and technical functions, and contribute to the strategic planning of all logistics and health and safety. Creating a positive working relationship with external bodies, not limited to construction partners, suppliers, contractors, housebuilders, statutory bodies, and funding partners. Development and delivery of a logistics strategy in respect to the Business Plan, and to produce and review the Development Plan. Budgetary responsibility to ensure spend is within the budgets detailed in the plan Working closely with the Land and Planning Director on the land disposal negotiations, as well as to influence the future growth plans in respect to land, planning and technical matters. This high profile and rewarding opportunity would suit an accredited professional ( ICE / CIOB/ RICS ) with a proven track record in the delivery of complex infrastructure schemes, preferably a large-scale brownfield regeneration site as part of a senior executive team. Proven project management and people skills together with a strong financial and commercial acumen are also a pre-requisite. The role comes with a generous package and benefits.
