Elevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Head of FP&A on behalf of an Innovative Manufacturing organisation in Bradford.

The Head of FP&A is a pivotal new senior role within the finance function responsible for financial analysis, control and business partnering with the operational teams. The purpose of the role is to ensure management has a detailed understanding of the financial performance of the operational functions (factory, surveys, installations and services) whilst ensuring that financial control is maintained. The role will suit a qualified accountant with experience in supporting operations in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Preparation of defined weekly and monthly commercial commentaries, providing valuable insight into the customer's commercial performance
* Lead the process for robust customer financial forecasting, including communication within the Customer Leadership Team and to Divisional stakeholders
* Ensure commercial finance reporting is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
* Provide comprehensive and compelling financial perspective to operating issues
* Participate in business tactical and strategic discussions
* Identify opportunities for business improvement
* Identify, challenge and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements via best-in-class Business Partnering
* Support production with segregation of cost centre reporting into departments and work areas to provide real insight on production performance for the direct cost centres, in particular, direct labour KPIs and manufacturing variances
* Liaise with Supply Chain to manage and report on purchase part progress towards targets in accordance with key commodity strategy initiatives, providing meaningful monthly purchase price variance analysis to stakeholders
* Performing quarterly standard cost rolls for top-level bills of materials to support business cost down initiatives, tracking variances in quantities and prices to provide recommended actions for cost improvement
* Perform product costing for new parts and updated bills of material in a timely manner to support production requirements
* Continuous review and development of financial processes and systems, controls and MI
* Review and set overhead absorption rates and labour rates in accordance with annual budget cycles
* Review inventory ageing and obsolescence and calculate provisions as required

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

* CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
* Recent relevant experience in Manufacturing
* Stakeholder management and influencing
* Commercial and operational decision support
* Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
