Business Development Manager (Engineering)

An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a leader in the design and manufacture of customised Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Tomography (CT) turnkey non–destructive test (NDT) solutions and equipment for blue chip organisations, Shaw Inspection Systems. Established in Great Yarmouth for over 40 years, we supply products and services to the aeronautical, space, oil & gas, material science, nuclear, global energy and military and defence industries.

As Business Development Manager, you will increase the sales and profitability of our business by supporting existing customers and securing new business within new and existing industry sectors. The successful candidate will join our Senior Leadership Team and help us to drive and develop our business as a whole, Along with a salary of up to 65,000 per annum, you will also receive private medical & dental insurance, enhanced employer pension contributions, 25+8 days of annual leave, critical illness cover, employee assistance programme, shopping discounts and Friday afternoons off!

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who has the following skills and experiences:

• Ideally an engineering background in either NDT or bespoke high value products
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, present and negotiate with customers
• Strong commercial skills and ability to understand financial and contractual aspects of sales tenders
• Ability to identify opportunities and then follow through with plans to realise this potential
• Self–motivated, pro–active individual who can work independently or as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel (up to 20% of time)
• Ability to pass government screening standards
