Our Client
A market leading and award–winning design consultancy with a focus on electronic appliances and software development are seeking a Business Development Manager to continue their ambitious growth plans with their UK based product development team.


The Role
Identify new opportunities for product development with manufacturing companies and convert them through to a positive conclusion.
Grow and develop business with existing customers.
Manage key accounts for increased sales and development of profits.
Maintain and develop effective relationships with key customers through the use consistent reinforcement of the company ethos.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to deliver the best possible solutions to meet the needs of customers.
Work within accordance of the wider sales and marketing strategy of the company.


The Candidate
The successful Business Development Manager will possess well–honed account management skills and a strong determination to succeed but will also has a sound technical grounding.
The candidate will have an understanding of the product development process.
You will be hard working, ambitious, confident, enthusiastic, resilient and goal–orientated sales professional with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
Time management essential with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
Ability to overcome customer objections in order to convert lead to sale.
Naturally persuasive, creative and self–motivated you will be able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.
Adaptable to change, flexible and creative in finding solutions.
A team player who works collaboratively and is approachable.
Committed to being customer focused and working in partnership with customers to deliver results for all parties.
You will have an open communication style; friendly, conscientious and committed above all you will be a team player.
A minimum of 2 years field sales experience.
