Are you ready to lead on the delivery of new homes into our operational businesses?
If so, then you will be interested in the role of Client Project Manager. You'll be the vital link between our successful Development team and our customer facing operational teams. You will be project managing the delivery of new homes into their business areas (Housing Management, Lettings and Sales/Marketing teams).
You will work on new build developments throughout every stage of the projects lifecycle, feeding into design and specification requirements, working with our development team throughout the construction programme and successfully handing over the homes to the relevant business area.
It is a unique position within Notting Hill Genesis allowing you to work across multiple business areas whilst giving you the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in working in residential construction.
Main Responsibilities
You will be working on around five schemes at any one time and the work will vary depending on which phase the project is in. Amongst other things you will be responsible for:
Design Phase: Working alongside architects and development colleagues to optimise the design of new developments, agreeing appropriate tenure mixes for potential developments and agreeing specification levels that will be attractive to residents and manageable for our maintenance teams
Construction Phase: Running monthly internal project meetings, regularly attend site for quality inspections and construction meetings, lead on instructing conveyancing solicitors on NHG's behalf and preparing the information that internal colleagues require to be able to sell and let the homes.
Handover: Signing off on the quality of the homes, collating and approving all of the required handover and H&S certification and working with our internal colleagues to provide a smooth handover a seamless customer journey.
Ideal Candidate
Your resilience and confidence in advocating on behalf of your clients will be essential in the successful delivery of our new developments. You will be tasked with ensuring the delivery of high quality homes and a seamless handover to internal clients.
Prior experience in project management is useful but not essential. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of issues that face housing management, sales and marketing teams.
Building strong relationships with a number of different stakeholders is a key element of the role. You will need to demonstrate an ability to communicate using both formal and informal influence's and to be able to influence the decisions of colleagues and senior members of staff.
Having an eye for detail is essential in being able to proactively highlight risks to projects. Being able to find creative solutions to issues is essential in ensuring that the homes NHG build will meet the requirements of our residents and management teams. It is a fast paced, varied role that will require you to be able to effectively prioritise and manage your workload.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be highly motivated with work ethic and a firm focus on delivering results. You should have a good understanding of the Housing sector to ensure you can relate to your clients, and you will benefit from project management experience to help you organise and effectively prioritise the varied workload coming your way. You will be highly competent, confident and eager to learn new skills. You will have an ability to immerse yourself in legal, technical and practical work streams to ensure our new homes look great, function effectively and can be easily managed.

You will split your time between construction sites across London, our London Head Office (Kings Cross) and other locations as necessary to get the job done. A willingness to travel regularly and be flexible is vital.
In order to obtain the upper salary banding a formal project management qualification (APM or equivalent) is required.
