A large, multinational company near Heathrow (Feltham) are recruiting for a Credit Control Team Leader.

This role will sit within a large finance team with a friendly atmosphere.

If you have experience supervising or leading a credit control team of 3+ heads, this role would be perfect for you.

THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO TRAVEL TO BRADFORD FOR 3 DAYS, ONCE PER FORTNIGHT (TRAVEL EXPENSES / OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATION WILL BE COVERED)

This role offers hybrid working.

Any experience using SAP would be hugely beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, support and motivate a team of Credit Controllers, ensuring that uniformity in working practices is achieved.
  • Closely monitor the portfolios of accounts within your team to ensure cash recovery is maximised, accounts are paid to terms, and risk and exposure to bad debt is kept to a minimum.
  • Facilitate a continued improvement in the reduction in the overall age profiles of the total debtors
  • Ensure that queries are kept to a minimum and resolved in a timely manner along with the upkeep of general 'house–keeping' on the accounts including the reconciliation of unallocated cash to within acceptable KPI's.
  • Ensure any adverse resource impact that is generated by any other key dependency areas of the business are addressed and remedied to ensure effective and efficient management of working practices and processes.
  • Ensure that all procedures are maintained and are aligned to current working practices.
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that this working ethos is embedded across everyone in the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven history in team management and debt reduction
  • Confident Excel skills ideally including look ups and pivot tables
  • Strong people skills with the ability to lead by example, motivate and develop a high performing team
  • Target driven and tenacious
  • Resilient with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels.
  • Prepared to go above and beyond to support the team
