Are you ready for a move into a role that will see you leading on a wide range of varied and interesting infrastructure projects across England/Ireland?

Our client is the construction division of an international group, which plays a leading role in supporting key infrastructure programmes in the UK and Ireland. Working in a small team, you will be an experienced Construction Lawyer wanting to join a dynamic legal function, with huge pipeline for major projects for you to lead on and influence.

This role will see you advise on construction contracts and in particular the legal and commercials around the procurement process. As one of the primary lawyers supporting the commercial management team on a regional basis, you will advise on the legal risks associated with the commercial strategy. Fully involved in each project, you will be the lawyer responsible for advising on tender support in the bid stage and then negotiation of sub-contracts all the way through to delivery of the scheme. In addition your work load will include a wide variety of commercial contracts and joint ventures.

Assisting on a variety of projects on high value large projects such as airport redevelopments, shipping infrastructure or motorway developments, your work load will involve contract analysis and identifying risk and advising on mitigation strategies or alternative ways of working.

This position will suit an experienced and highly communicative Construction Lawyer or contentious Construction Lawyer seeking an in-house opportunity within the sector, which carries a good level of influence within the business and works closely with senior management.

The role offers fantastic opportunities for international work and travel within the group and would suit a construction lawyer looking for a true step up i. a private practice lawyer with experience acting for large construction businesses who wants more autonomy and influence in an in-house setting, or an in-house lawyer who seeks more autonomy and potential to truly influence the key stakeholders within the business.

The wider package includes a discretionary bonus of circa 10%, a generous car allowance, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and health cover.
