Project Manager (Defence)

We have exciting opportunities for Security Cleared Project Managers with our defence clients in Filton Abbey Wood. Our client offers flexible working arrangement but requires the successful candidates to be able to travel to site at least 2 days a week if required.

The daily rate will be between GBP350 and GBP380 (inside IR35).

The initial contract period would be 6 months with high potential to extend. The roles offer flexible hours (40 hours a week).

ROLE OUTLINE

As a SC Cleared Project Manager, responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and shaping client project delivery through suitable planning, monitoring, controlling and performance reporting
• Identifying risk and remedial actions
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and management processes
• Ensuring client business needs are met by specifying the programme/projects
• Leading and championing the application of suitable programme and project delivery strategies
• Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking
• Establishing effective processes and systems to be used throughout a project
• Promoting positive working relationships with different stakeholders
• Preparing materials for projects and reports on progress, etc

The successful candidate will:

• Hold current and valid security clearance (SC) (this is essential)
• Hold a UK passport
• Have prior experience working with the defence sector
• Knowledge of P3M practices
• Hold a professional PM qualification (Prince2, APMP, Agile )
• Ideally a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM)
• Have a track record of successful project delivery
