An entirely remote position is available for a senior commercial lawyer able to start on a fixed 12 month contract at short notice. Our client, a financial institution in the retail banking space is looking to cover a maternity leave from early February. Essentially the person would have a workload of supplier contracts which they would be asked to review in conjunction with the procurement team. You would sign-off contracts and create risk acceptances for the business. You will deal with strategic commercial matters in relation to outsourcing, goods and services, and IT agreements. You would work in a team of 4 as part of a larger legal department where the team is responsible for all commercial work primarily dealing with suppliers but also covering IP, competition and regulatory matters arising, including the new outsourcing rules.
