This role is based primarily in Southampton, other sites within the remit include London & Kent. This role also offers Hybrid working from the outset and throughout.

CLIENT DETAILS
Our client is a market leading and ever–growing technology business. Our client is looking to appoint a talented HR Business Partner to join their team based in Southampton. As the HR Business Partner for the southern region, you will contribute at both a strategic and operational level, supporting near 200 colleagues across 6 sites within the southern remit.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
- It is your duty to support the business in formulating HR strategies, policies and plans in all areas of HR.
- It is your responsibility to develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Your duty will be to act as a single point of contact for employees and managers advising on Company policies and procedures.
- It is your duty to constantly maintain visibility amongst employees by being an active presence within the regional offices
- You will be actively identifying gaps, propose, and implement necessary changes to reduce risk by influencing managers to bring forward best solutions, for example challenge organisational structures.
- It will be your duty to provide a systematic recruitment and selection service in order to meet the Company's resourcing needs.
- You will be tasked with assisting in the creation of accurate job descriptions and person specifications.
- It will be your duty to advise managers on the various methods for filling vacancies and make recommendations for which to use.
- It is your duty to provide advice on selection tools such as personality profiling, aptitude, and skills testing.
- It will be a requirement to have a full clear oversight, whilst advising and supporting managers with employee relation issues.
- It is your duty to manage employee relation formalities ensuring processes are timely, fair, and consistent.
- It is your duty to act as the performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in people management.
- You will be tasked with coaching and where necessary carry out training sessions with line managers.
- It is your duty to assist managers in identifying training needs and arrange in–house or external training as requested as per training and development procedures.
- It is your duty to evaluate training courses for effectiveness for future use.
- You will be tasked with managing HR projects cross functionally including complex and challenging initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years HR experience
- Must have good communications skills both written and oral
- Stood as a business partner for 1+ years
- Be a team player with a proactive and professional approach and an approachable disposition
- CIPD Qualified or equivalent
- Generalist HR professional, with recruitment experience
- Solid Employee Relations / Employment law experience
- Demonstrable experience of strategic impact and achievements
- Experience of mergers and acquisitions desirable
- Excellent organisational skills to manage own workload
- Flexible to travel within the region
