HR Business Partner required to join a well–established automotive manufacturer, based in Warwick on a permanent basis offering a competitive salary and attractive benefits package.

Our client is an automotive manufacturer with a global reputation and significant growth plans. With their new state of the art office in Warwick, they are looking to expand their team in line with their anticipated growth.

They are seeking a HR Business Partner to become a fundamental part in driving the people agenda, ensuring strategic alignment to the business strategy. Working as part of a team, you will drive this agenda in partnership with stakeholders across the business, providing guidance on all people matters across the HR spectrum.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a HR Business Partner with experience working within the Automotive or Engineering sectors, however they are open to considering other industries.

The HR Business Partner duties:

  • Develop strategies for people management, succession planning, and talent management in partnership with leaders and managers,
  • Facilitate effective implementation of new people management initiatives across departments and levels of the business as appropriate,
  • Through a solid understanding of current legislation, ensure that business policies and procedures, enable the delivery of people management objectives,
  • Collaborate with leaders and managers in developing recruitment plans, identifying training needs, and advocating a continuous learning culture,
  • Work with stakeholders to create a people plan for their respective functions,
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, business unit restructures, and succession planning, ensuring that core HR processes are applied appropriately and in a legally compliant manner,
  • Analyse HR KPIs and trends to understand key areas of focus and to drive business improvements,
  • Identify gaps in leadership capability and work in collaboration with the L&D team to develop appropriate solutions,
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders, build, and develop trusted relationships with the various departmental leaderships,
  • Work with the ER Manager to oversee and manage complex employee–relations issues, supporting formal appeals and hearings while simultaneously coaching the relevant managers on management best practices,
  • Building a collaborative Trade Union partnership, which helps to deliver business change and drive continuous improvement,
  • Coach and mentor members of the HR team, offering guidance and support as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience of the HR Business Partner

  • Experience working as a HR Business Partner or similar is essential,
  • You must hold a CIPD Level 5 or equivalent,
  • Have an ability to formulate short term and long–term business plans and inspire people to perform at their best,
  • Confident in utilising skills and experience to upskill leaders and managers, challenge thinking, disrupt the norm and drive excellence throughout the business
  • Must have an interest in industry standards, experience of benchmarking and driving innovation to ensure the business always has a competitive edge,
  • Generalist experience, across the full HR spectrum (eg. Learning & development, resourcing, talent management reward, compensation & benefits)
  • Industry knowledge of the trends and changes in policy that are affecting people at work.
