Overview of The Compliance Director:

This exciting role is to set the strategy and governance process support of all legal and compliance needs across our global group. As a fast growing group of recruitment businesses covering multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally, this is an opportunity to join at a leadership level and influence how exactly overall governance and risk is managed. For the right level of experience, this is either a direct executive board appointment or clear progress to such an appointment.

In summary, the role is to be our expert on governance, risk, regulatory and legal compliance. You will need to hold key stakeholder relationships with colleagues, the group board as well as the recruitment industry and relevant regulatory bodies.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Managing all contract reviews and queries.
  • Support the management team with strategic decision making on topics such as international expansion and development of our insurance and legal service providers.
  • Support/lead applications for regulatory permissions required in new markets
  • Ensure our corporate, IP, compliance, commercial and litigation risks are identified and managed.
  • Develop our compliance infrastructure including our strategy and roadmap, policies and procedures, monitoring plan and hiring key roles.
  • Work closely with the company's board of directors to advise on risk appetite and strategy.
  • Manage our relationships with external regulators and legal advisers.
  • Develop best practices and training to help the business manage risks and drive the implementation of improved processes.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes, knowledge, and experience:

A thorough understanding and track record of delivering all things governance, legal and risk.

Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a business.

An understanding of the Recruitment and People Services Sector and the relevant regulator landscape.

International contract experience and an understanding of managing risk in foreign territories.

Anti–money laundering legislation

ISO 9001 and 14001

GDPR and Date Subject Access Request

Risk management and reporting
