We also offer a generous holiday entitlement of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

As a Business Development Manager, you ll play a pivotal role in the growth of the company by seeking out new business opportunities and ensuring that there is a pipeline to deliver the required growth. You will play an integral part in maintaining relationships and building the order book with existing customers.

You ll be responsible for introducing our services and mechanical engineering solutions to perspective new customers and carry out customer visits using different types of media and material.

You will use your industry knowledge and experience to keep up to date with market trends, our competitors and collect customer feedback in order to continuously improve the business.

You will have the ability to quote for new jobs and offer detailed, timely solutions to our customer, ensuring that their requirements are fully understood and the most cost–effective solution is offered.

You will be a strong communicator and be willing to visit customers and also attend exhibitions to showcase the ability of our business.

Preferred Skills

  • Technical sales background within engineering/manufacturing sectors
  • Willingness to approach and introduce new customers to the business.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to discuss drawings with customers in detail and give appropriate advice
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (ideally Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Projects)
  • Experience of using CRM systems
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong team player
  • Target driven with the ability to show resilience drive and determination
  • Strong team player
  • Knowledge of the medical/scientific industry
  • Knowledge of precision engineering and clean room manufacturing
