At over 25 years old, the organisation dominates its' niche and ever–growing market by providing products and services both B2B & B2C. The corporate client list boasts a host of household name organisations across hospitality, leisure, education, health, construction, and facilities management. The consumer business operates numerous e–commerce platforms that are the "go to" names in the industry. The overriding ethos of the whole company is the provision of the very best customer service, to both big and small clients, and this is reflected by the plethora of awards received in recognition of this.
As the company continues to grow, both organically and by acquisition, this newly created position will see you report directly to the Finance & Operations Director. You will hold full responsibility for the finance function (currently a team of 4) and ensure the credibility and accountability of the department and its efficiency to deliver the highest level of service to the business.
Your remit will include, but not be limited to:
Preparation of accounts / financial management and controls
- Maintenance of the financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balancesheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- ProducemonthlymanagementconsolidatedP&L,BalanceSheetandCashflowStatements
- Produce annual statutory accounts, leading the relationship and working closely with the auditors
- Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to stock, debtors and cash balances
- Supporting the operational business with insightful forecasting and analysis to drive improvements in margin, EBITDA and cashflow
Taxation
- CorporationTax computation, review and return

Team
- Manage, motivate and develop the finance team
- Superviseandreviewperformanceofindividualsintheteam
- Implementation of a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary
- Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance department is properly supporting the needs of the operating business
Applicants will be fully qualified, almost certainly from an audit foundation with a Top15 firm and have a demonstrable track record of financial control and management reporting. This role will require you to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, as well as provide strategic support and partnership to the senior management team. There are no ivory towers available here, the business is very TEAM orientated and has a genuine "family feel", despite its stature.
