I am supporting a Financial Services Business that are recruiting for a Head of IT Service Management to work alongside Head of IT Service Operations. The IT Service Delivery Leadership team contributes in designing and building a service centric IT function, from the ground up. Team size is c30 via 3 direct reports. This team is a mix of onshore (UK) and Offshore (India). This role looks after half of the Service Management outlined below:
- Change Control
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Release Management.
- Service Catalogue Management
- Service Desk
- Service Level Management
- Service Request Management
- Identity & Access Management
Design, implement and own an IT Service Management strategy which aligns with the over–arching IT Service Delivery Strategy, covering future plans for the ITSM Practices, ITSM tooling, ITSM knowledge & training and the development of ITSM personnel. ITIL is essential in this role ideally V4, as well as experience in Service Now.
The Second role is Head of IT Service Operations and looks after the other half, outlined below:
- Availability Management
- Capacity and Performance Management
- IT Asset Management
- Monitoring and Event Management
- Service Configuration Management
- Service Continuity Management
- Service Design
The same with the above role – ITIL is essential ideally v4.
