The Large Holding team is responsible for making disclosures to local regulators, recognised exchanges and issuers whereby the firm has substantial shareholding accumulation, engage in short selling, or has become involved in a takeover bid. There are a number of regulatory rules that define the product set for reporting requirements.

We are looking for an experienced business analyst/project manager, to support the various change initiatives in the Post Trade Transaction Cycle and a proven track record of 'Front to Back' delivery within an investment bank. The successful candidate needs to have strong project management skills in planning, stakeholder management, status reporting and risk assessment/management and will have strong background of business analysis skills for detailed understanding and documentation of requirements/use cases to be able to challenge requirements/assumptions. In addition, the ability to problem solve and gain consensus across different stakeholders is imperative.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience working in a Front and Middle Office/Operations/IT Change environment, handling multiple projects and priorities concurrently. The candidate should also be familiar with trade flows and lifecycle events and have strong knowledge in one or more of the following Equities & Derivatives asset classes. Experience with large and complex industry driven projects and knowledge of the current regulatory environment, including Major Shareholdings, Dodd Frank, MIFID II is preferred.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

  • Programme Lead/Product Owner for Large Holdings Projects– Document Business Requirements, Review IT design solution, UAT planning & execution, Release sign off
  • Set and manage project scope and expectations with stakeholders and team members
  • Establish governance around projects and to set up and manage communications between teams, including the creation and maintenance of regular status reports
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and issues and coordinate resolution
  • Coordinate and chair working group meetings to review project status, facilitate agreements and decisions and address potential issues and risks

Analysis

  • Have an understanding business processes within Front office, Middle and back office in the following areas: Trade Execution, Trade Capture/Transaction Processing and downstream consumption (Derivatives and/or Cash market)
  • Work with, and maintain relationships with the business to challenge the requirements for building changes to IT systems
  • Proactively search for ways of improving existing business processes and to provide feedback and suggestions to both the project team and the business
  • Proactively challenge business processes with a view to uncovering risks and issues that might affect the project goals and timelines
  • Support the build team interactively throughout the development process by providing information and clarification of business processes and requirements
  • Work with business and QA teams to assist and advise in the area of UAT planning and execution
  • Ensure training materials are provided where needed, support delivery communication and organise user demos as needed

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • The candidate will be required to manage stakeholders across pre trade, post trade, risk & finance from technology perspective
  • Further, the candidate will have to build strong relationship with MD level business stakeholders to steer the projects and provide updates.

Decision–making and Problem Solving

  • Given the front to back nature of the role, the candidate needs to have strong decision making & problem solving capabilities.
  • The candidate will be expected to come up with suggestions/alternatives to steer the projects in the correct direction
  • The candidate needs to be flexible to accommodate changes but should also exert control over the plan to avoid slippage

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Front and Middle Office/Operations/IT Change environment, handling multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • The candidate should also be familiar with trade flows and lifecycle events and have strong knowledge in one or more of the following asset classes (Credit, Rates, FX, Commodities, and Equities).

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large and complex industry driven projects and knowledge of the current regulatory environment, including MiFID II, Dodd Frank, EMIR, SEFs is preferred.

Cross Asset Trade Lifecycle knowledge is preferred
