MS285 – Business Development Manager

Location: Cardiff

Salary: GBP40,000 per annum Circa + car allowance

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Business Development Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex–military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the pre–defined sales cadence and sales process to ensure the development of quality pipeline that leads to winning and growing business.
  • Management of activities in the sales territory and regularly tracking of actual sales vs. plan to achieve sales and performance targets.
  • Identify new prospective clients and nurture good working relationships with them.
  • Deliver integrated solutions in professional presentations, with a detailed understanding of requirements to prospective customers.
  • Writing proposals or presentations.
  • Issuing forecast reports detailing your business pipeline and expected successes in any given period.
  • Meeting sales targets as issued by the Sales Director.
  • Developing a business pipeline to twice that of the issued sales target for any given period by the end of the first year.
  • Taking personal responsibility for generating multiple new business appointments each week.
  • Completing tasks on your 121's.
  • Maximising Profit with our customer base whilst maintaining customer centric approach.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in business development management.
  • Clear & inspiring communication & presentation skills.
  • Positive mindset, driven & decisive.
  • Able to identify opportunities whilst managing relationships with customers & key stakeholders.
  • Strong all–round communication & negotiation /influencing skills.
  • Passionate about building strong relationships.
  • Full & Valid UK driving licence.
  • IT Literate.
  • Ability to work independently, juggling & prioritising across workloads & consistently hitting sales targets.
  • Strong commercial skills in developing & executing B2B sales.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
