Our client, an internationally recognised energy company, are currently searching for a Disaster Recovery Business Analyst to join their team on a 12 month contract basis

Duration: 12 Months

Specification

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with keen attention to detail, to support project managers, application managers and stakeholders with the design, development and testing of applications to ensure continuing resilience and to lead on DR service recovery assurance.

This is a key role in defining and supporting key recovery requirements and ensuring the resilience essential business systems within Asset IT.

Task Description:

• Collating Disaster Recovery requirements
• Develop test plans and gain approval from all stakeholders, including IT management, recovery team leads, affected clients, etc.;
• Develop and gain approval for DR Exercise Plans that define the scope, objectives and performance details of the planned exercises;
• Work with the recovery teams and selected clients to prepare them to execute the Exercise plan, ensure they have sufficient resources, and are committed to supporting the exercise and are prepared to achieve all objectives of the exercise;
• Coordinate the execution of the Exercise plans per the execution checklist while collecting performance data to support reporting of results, identifying issues, and moving the recovery team toward successful completion of the exercise;
• Conduct Post Exercise meetings with recovery team leads and selected clients to identify and document issues related to recovery technologies, processes and support issues;
• Identify root causes of recovery issues and ensure the development and execution of plans to mitigate the issues so that continuous improvement in the recovery program is achieved;
• Determine if retesting of the entire exercise plan or selected portions is needed based on issues encountered;

Experience/Skills

• Application analysis
• Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity experience developing and maintaining recovery plans
• Familiar with application infrastructure (Cloud and Traditional)
• Business Analyst methodology and techniques
• Knowledge of ITIL/ITSCM processes
• Good Presentation and Communications Skills;
• Ability to develop and specify ideas and proposals for implementing and improving the DR project
• Experience with conducting Business Impact Analysis
