Project Manager

A Local Authority based in Berkshire is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their Flood and Coastal Resilience Programme as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of delivering and project managing of complex DEFRA funded Innovative Flood and Coastal Resilience Programmes.

The purpose of the role is to Coordinate and manage the activities of the project's specialist teams and partners.

The main responsibilities of the role:

• Establish effective governance and reporting mechanisms.
• Establish the management strategy. Manage the critical risks. Constructively respond to and manage change, redrawing programmes and budget allocations to correct deviations from agreed funding.
• Establish systems and procedures in relation to finance, data, project planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery of individual work streams and the programme as a whole.
• Take full responsibility for all financial matters relating to the programme, to regularly review the expenditure and funding profiles and prepare funding projections.
• Ensure effective co–ordination, liaison and communication with other projects in the Defra national programme and their partners

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering 38 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
