Business Development Manager – Helping our homeworkers increase their sales
Home Based with visits to Bournemouth HQ

About You:

You need to be experienced in both the travel industry and at being a phenomenal Business Development Manager.

For us, there is nothing more important than helping our team increase their sales and customer retention. You need to know how to help individuals increase their sales, find more business and maximise the enjoyment of this amazing industry.

You ll need to be a gifted influencer who knows how to get the best out of people. You ll need to be a part salesperson, part trainer, part marketer, and part coach.

A year from now you will have had a great year if you move the needle on these three metrics:

+ Increase in the number of new customers being attracted by each homeworker
+ Increased the repeat booking rate from your team
+ Increased the overall value of bookings from your team

The Role:

You ll be leading and supporting a team of highly motivated self–employed travel homeworkers. Your role is to help them increase their profits through:

+ Finding more enquiries
+ Converting more enquiries to sales
+ Increasing average booking values
+ Increasing profit per booking
+ Increasing repeat booking rates

You ll need the skills and experience to make a difference in these 5 areas. This will require planning, teaching, demonstrating, and following up with your team on a regular basis and finding creative ways to engage, motivate, inspire and communicate with your team.

Here is where we see you need the experience to kick ass at this role:

+ Experience in working within travel agency sales and as a sales manager or similar BDM role
+ Experience in achieving sales targets
+ Good knowledge of travel industry products including flights, packages and cruise products.
+ Confident using video as a means of communication
+ Confident using social media
+ Must have a good ability to communicate fluently and positively in written form
+ Confident it training individuals and groups
+ Knowing how to follow up with team members to get results
+ Strong knowledge of sales within the travel sector to be able to lead by example
+ Be confident in basic social media techniques
+ Know how to create strategies to help others achieve their targets
